Audrey A Balzer

Audrey A. Balzer (nee. Anson), died peacefully on May 9th, 2024. Born in Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, she came to Lorain in 1946.  After graduating from Clearview High school in 1958, she waitressed at McGarvey’s Party House, Avon Oaks Country Club, and Cary’s Villa. She was also an instructor at Continental Health Spa in Lorain. She retired from Nelson Stud Welding in Elyria in 2001, after 22 years of service. Through the years she enjoyed bowling, traveling and gardening. She loved being at home with her three collies and a sheltie.

Audrey is survived by her son, Larry (Kathy) Balzer; grandchildren, Samantha, Dana Nicole, and Brandon; son, Anthony (Sue) Anson; and nephew, Nicholas.

Audrey was preceded in death by her father, Anthony Anson; mother, Margret Anson; and her 21-year-old son, Dana T. Balzer, in 1981.

The family will hold a private family graveside service. 

Arrangements were handled by Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel.
