Betty L Hartman

Betty Hartman (nee Anderson), 86 of Lorain passed away at her home on Friday, April 18, 2025. She was a fun-loving lady with a great sense of humor and always the life of the party. Betty raised 12 children and enjoyed everything about the family. She also liked watching her soaps, Gunsmoke, and other westerns, along with playing cards, pitching horseshoes, and doing adult coloring books. Her greatest love was her family and she will be greatly missed by them.

Betty is survived by her children, Debra Cooper (David Ramos), Connie Sue Williams (Michael), C.W. Jones (Diane), Nick Hartman (Valerie), Eddie Hartman, Tammy Jones, Helen Henson (Roger), Carl Hartman, Tony Hartman (fiancé Army), Mary Hartman, and Shirley Ritenour (June); grandchildren, Andre Jones, David Ramos, Paul Williams, along with many other grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren; and siblings, Steve Anderson (Gloria), Larry Anderson, and Margaret Pitzer (Paul).

She was preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Nick Hartman; parents, George and Mary Anderson; son, Bobby Jones; and siblings, Ethel, Kathleen, Elizabeth, Nancy, June, Russell, George “Buck”, and James Anderson.

The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. on Tuesday, April 22 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm and at Church on the North Coast, 4125 N. Leavitt Rd., Lorain, Ohio on Wednesday from 10:00 - 11:00 am, with the funeral service beginning at 11:00 am. Burial to follow at Elmwood Cemetery.
