Bridges, Cleman C.

Cleman C. Bridges, 89, of North Ridgeville, passed away Friday, April 6, 2018 at his home, while under the care of Cross Roads Hospice.

He was born October 11, 1928 in Dahlonega, Georgia to the late Garland and Nannie (Tipton) Bridges.  Cleman worked at Ridge Tool Co. in Elyria, retiring after 38 years.  He attended Baptist Church.  He was a member of the Elyria Moose Lodge 778 and the Fraternal Order of Eagles 431, Elyria.  Cleman was an avid bowler, and bowled for many years in both North Ridgeville and Grafton.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Marlena Amore-Bridges: a son, Clarence Bridges: a daughter, Betty Drennen: step son, Rick Amore: step daughter, Anna Kelly: 4 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Monday, April 9, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of services at 1:00 pm at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Sheffield Township.  Burial will be at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.

  1. Dad, words can never express the pride I have in being able to say I AM YOUR DAUGHTER! You raised me into the woman I am today. No matter what I did wrong,you never turned away from me. I disappointed you many times ,but you never turned away from me. I will forever do my best to always be the lady you raised me to be. I LOVE YOU DADDY!!!!
