Charlene Rose Walker

Charlene Rose Walker, 62 of Elyria, passed away on January 22, 2025, after a brief illness. She was born on September 21, 1962, in Elyria, Ohio, where she spent most of her life.

Charlene’s life was filled with joy and purpose, and her greatest pride was her grandchildren: Nate Weese, Autumn Spangler, Ryan Mills, Nolan Weese, and Skyler Mills. She cherished spending time with them, creating beloved memories that will remain in their hearts forever. Her passion for nurturing those relationships was evident in the time she dedicated to playing games, working on puzzles, reading, and sewing.

Charlene’s warm spirit extended beyond her family. She is remembered fondly by her companion, Willie Walker, and her children: Johnny Weese (Tasha), Sally Shreffler, and Kimberly Shreffler. She also leaves behind many beloved siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends whose lives she touched.

Charlene is preceded in death by her father, John Shreffler, her mother, Doris Shreffler, and her brother, Kenny "Clyde" Shreffler. 

A memorial service honoring Charlene's life will be held on February 1, 2025, at Pilgrim United Church of Christ, 523 E. Broad St., Elyria, OH 44035. The service will begin at 2:00 PM and conclude at 4:00 PM, providing an opportunity for family and friends to come together in remembrance of her life and legacy.

Charlene Rose Walker will be dearly missed, and her spirit will continue to inspire those who knew and loved her.
