Darryl Wayne Easley

Darryl Easley, age 45 of Elyria, passed away unexpectedly in his home on February 5th, 2024.

Darryl was born January 20th, 1979, in Elyria, Ohio to Brenda (Easley) Gilbert and Darryl Horton . Darryl spent his life in Elyria, raised by his mother Brenda and stepfather Gene. Later in life he met his best friend and mother of his three children, Danielle Archer.

Darryl was a Crane Operator for the Elyria Foundry. He worked there for the past 21 years. In his younger years, he enjoyed playing and watching sports. He was a diehard Cleveland Browns fan. Later in life, he took up hobbies such as watching Tubi and Lifetime movies.

Darryl leaves to cherish his loving memory his two sons, Tyree and Taeshon; his daughter, T’Asia; his mother and stepfather, Brenda and Gene; his father, Darryl; and three sisters, Takasha, Chantel (Sean) and Micayla.  He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Willie and Dan Easley.

During Darryl’s last moments with his children, he repeatedly told them throughout the day “ You done put me back in the game.”

Darryl’s family will receive family and friends on Wednesday, February 14th, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio.
