Deanna Mae Kessler

Deanna May Kessler, age 80, died Thursday February 8, 2024, at Renaissance of Richfield. She was born December 22, 1943, in Buffalo New York to Ed and Mary (Moffet) Helmbrecht.

Deanna enjoyed pottery and bowling. She was previously employed at H&R Block, helping customers file their taxes, for which she received a 10-year pin.

Deanna is survived by her husband of 52 years, Eugene; son, Gene (Kateena); granddaughter, Maggie; and brother, Ed (Marcus) Helmbrecht.  She was preceded in death by her parents; infant daughter, Jessica; and sister, Margaret Godwin.

The family will receive friends on Thursday, February 15, 2024, from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio.   Funeral services will begin at 1:00 pm, with Pastor Rick Keesee officiating, followed by burial at Maple Grove Cemetery in Vermillion.
