Deborah Jean Dunlap, 67 of Lorain passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at her home. She was born July 17, 1954 in Lorain, Ohio and has lived in Lorain all of her life.
Deborah was a graduate of Admiral King High School and Lorain Business College. She was formerly employed as a cafeteria worker at Ford Motor Company in Lorain for a short time. She was also employed at US Steel, Lorain and Days Inn for a short period of time up until she became sick with diabetes and schizophrenia.
Deborah enjoyed reading her Bible, listening to gospel music and she really loved the Lord. Everyday she would talk about the goodness of the Lord. Deborah had a beautiful voice and loved to sing. She was a former member of the New Bethel Church choir under the direction of Pastor Joanne Charlton. Deborah enjoyed cooking and eating.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her loving parents, Mathias and Maxine Dunlap, Lorain; one brother, Mathias Dunlap III, Portsmouth, VA; one sister, Margie (Jeff) Brown, Columbia, SC; numerous nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives.
Deborah was preceded in death by her sibling, Althea Ward of South Carolina.
The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. on Friday, September 3 from 11am until noon when her funeral service will begin. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
