Dorothy Jean Fields, longtime resident of Elyria, passed away after a long illness on February 21, 2022, at the age of 78.

Dorothy was a devout, committed Jehovah's Witness, very active in her faith and the community. She loved jewelry, knitting and her family. She was a devoted caregiver, working at Elyria Methodist Home and Our Lady of the Wayside, where she leaves many friends.

Dorothy is survived by her beloved children, Charles Fields Jr. (Pam), Christopher Fields (James), Corey Fields, Lisa Fields Hester (Brandon) and Cedric Whtifield; cherished grandchildren, LaToya Redman, Charles Fields III, Robert Fields, Jeris Geiger, Ciara Fields, Olivia Hester and Wayde Hester; beloved brother, Tracey Mobley (Diana); many, many other relatives, close and dear friends and neighbors, all of whom will miss her dearly. She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Eugene and Louise;  beloved husband, Charles L Fields Sr; and loving sisters, Georgina White and Leona Mobley.

A Celebration of her Life will be held via zoom Sunday, February 27, 2022 at 2pm.
