Elizabeth Jeanette Thompson, aged 52, had passed on February 8th, 2021 at approximately 9:30AM due to congestive heart failure caused from her ongoing fight with diabetes. Daughter, mother, and sister to her family, always compassionate and loving in her life. Most of Elizabeth’s life she was a loving housewife. Leaving her partner, Robert Nester, and five children; Edward Mitchell, Chelsea Lopez, Jessie Nester, Megan Mitchell, and John Thompson Jr.. Elizabeth, after being widowed in 2011 from John Thompson Sr., started to work in retail and customer service until her health started to unfortunately decline. Other surviving kin include her brothers; Brandon Mitchell, and Donald Dillon. Elizabeth’s mother, Evelene Dillon. Elizabeth’s nieces and nephews; Marie Dillon, Summer Dillon, Autumn Dillon, and Stormy Dillon. Finally, Elizabeth’s grandchildren; Layla Ratliff, Bayleigh Lopez, Grayson Lopez, and Zayne Lopez. Elizabeth lived a fulfilling life of seeing her children graduating from secondary education, with her youngest set to go to post secondary education.
Elizabeth practiced a life in the catholic faith, attending St. Agnes church in Elyria as her last church, until her disability made it harder for her to attend. Elizabeth enjoyed pastimes like taking care of her garden, which you would see every summer growing outside of her house. You would think it was a florist. Elizabeth also enjoyed pastimes like listening to music. She loved country music. Some of Elizabeth’s favorite artists include; Garth Brooks, Kelly Pickler, Miranda Lambert, and Carrie Underwood. Elizabeth also loved camping and going outdoors, until unfortunately her disability didn’t allow her to. Finally, Elizabeth loved cooking and making food for her family; cooking elaborate meals every holiday.
Thank you Elizabeth for being the loving and caring person you were, showing compassion, independence, and conviction in everything you did. We all miss you so much, and can’t believe such an amazing individual was taken from us so early. We love you Elizabeth. May your pure soul rest in peace.
The family will receive friends at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Road, Elyria, on Wednesday, Feb. 17 from 11:00 am to l:00 pm, with funeral services at 1:00pm.
