Ernest J. Phillips 

Ernest J. Phillips passed into peace May 21, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He loved camping, gardening, working in the garage and spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He served honorably in the Army, worked as a truck driver, ran Lowe’s Auto wrecking and enjoyed watching the Indians.

He is survived by his loving son Elmer Alan (Elizabeth Ellen Hartwell) Phillips; his beloved grandchildren, Ernest (Ashlee), Corey (Leah), Clinton Jr, Nicole (Jack) Gute, Troy (Gloria), Teddy, Doug, Jack, Geneva, Tina, Crystal, Morissa, Marsha, Glenn; his great grandchildren, Sarah, Clinton III, Lyndsey, Akacya, Allison, Ashton, Wyatt, Jimmy, Bryson, Atreus, Courtney, Nathan, Samuel, Lola, Jude, David, Bowe; and his great-great grandson Callan.

He is preceded in death by his loving parents; beloved wife Virginia Belle (nee Landy) Phillips; and his son Ernest James Phillips Jr and his daughter Denise Jean Simmons, who is survived by her loving husband Clinton Simmons.

The family will receive visitors from 11-2PM, May 25 ^th , 2022 at Wyers Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd, Elyria, OH 44035, Funeral Service to follow.
