Frances Y Szabo

Frances Y. Szabo, 64 of Lorain, passed away on Friday, March 10, 2023. She was a family and friends-oriented lady who especially loved her grandchildren.  Frances also loved the Browns, teddy bears, and dancing.  She will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Frances is survived by her husband, Pedro Ortiz; son, Wayne A. Szabo, III; daughter, Yvonne Burson (Thomas); stepson, Daniel Ortiz; grandchildren, Jade Burson, Maria Imbrigiotta, Alexander Szabo, and Aaliya Burson; brother, Jack Wagner (Annette); and many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward Opala, Joyce Wagner, and Jack Wagner; former husband, Wayne Szabo, Jr.; sister, Deanna Peterson; and brother, Edward Opala.

The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd. (Rt. 254), Sheffield Twp. on Thursday, March 16 from 11:00 am -1:00 pm and 4:00 - 6:00 pm, with a service beginning at 5:45pm.
