Freda M. Thompson

Freda M. Thompson, 87, of Elyria, Ohio, was welcomed into the arms of the Lord on Friday, January 12, 2024 after a short illness.  She was born to Clawson and Ethel Underwood in Huntersville, WV on February 11, 1936, and attended and graduated from Marlinton High School in 1954.

Freda is survived by her sons, Earl Thompson of Utah and Chuck Thompson (Hea kyung) of Georgia; daughters, Lori Tsaparian (Michael) of California, Alta Thompson of Ohio, and Pamela K. Thompson of California; brother, Darel Underwood of Ohio; grandchildren, Justin Thompson (Shelbee), Reagan Thompson, Yong Ju Chun, Aidan Tsaparian, Christopher Bell (Ashley), Pamela Thompson, Jessica Cipcic (Joe), and Katie Youssef; great grandchildren, Michayla, Bailynn, Ethan, Baylor, Amber, Jade, Benjamin, Abigail, Asher, Cassidy, Tessa, Brandon, Sereya, and Avery; and many nieces and nephews.

Freda was preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Linda; brothers, Olis Underwood, Cecil Underwood, Romie Underwood, Paul Underwood and Doy Underwood; and sisters, Enid Wood and Faye Derosier.

The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd. East, Sheffield Twp. on Thursday, January 18 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at noon. All family, friends, and loved ones are welcome to attend and pay their respects and share their memories in celebration of Freda’s life.

Freda will be laid to rest at Butternut Ridge Cemetery, 37390 Butternut Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Ohio following the service.
