Freda May Williams (nee. Camp), 97, of Avon Lake, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the care of Crossroads Hospice of Wesleyan Village on April 22nd, 2024.
Freda was born January 17th, 1927, in Uhrichsville, Ohio to parents Zelma and Earl Camp. She was the eldest daughter of 9 children. All of which are deceased. She moved to Lorain County with her husband Walter William Jr. where she lived the rest of her life. Freda and Walter had five sons, Walter III, David, Gary, Daniel, and Kenneth.
Freda was an avid bowler, carrying a high average in the Women’s league. She enjoyed cooking and baking for everyone. She was also a big fan of the Cleveland Browns and the Cleveland Indians. Her two favorite singers were Bob Segar and Alan Jackson.
She is survived by her sons, Gary and Daniel, 25 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, and 14 great-great grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held May 11th, 2024, at Eddy’s 1433 Lowell Street in Elyria, Ohio from 2pm – 5pm. This celebration is for the friends and family of both Freda and her son Walter Williams III, who recently passed away. Inurnment will be at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman, Ohio at a later date.
