Glen Slusher of Elyria, entered eternity on Saturday, January 8, 2022 surrounded by his family. A lifelong resident of Elyria, he was born February 29, 1932 to Samuel and Eva Slusher.
After graduation from Elyria High School, he served in the United States Air Force.
He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janice (Crandell).
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Norma Ladd, Ivalyn Burgett, Carol McCoy, Helen Nutter; brothers, Chuck Slusher and Bob Slusher and his son-in-law, Greg Pendell.
Surviving, in addition to his wife; his sister, Nancy Anderson; children, Pete Slusher (Kathy), Patty Woconish (Vince), Rob Slusher (Barb) and Jane Pendell (fiancé, Jonathan Male), along with 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Glen worked at Ford Motor Company for 30 years. He and his wife served together in Gideon's International, had been active members of Abbe Road Baptist Church, where he taught Sunday School until his recent illness. In addition to teaching, he continued to led Bible study and encouraged a personal relationship with Christ to all he met. 'To live is Christ, to die is GAIN.' (Philippians 1:21)
A celebration for Glen is scheduled for 11 a.m., Saturday, February
26, 2022 at Abbe Road Baptist Church, 670 Abbe Rd., Elyria, OH 44035.
