Jacquelyn Nelson answered her master's call on March 11, 2022 at O'Neill Health Care.  She was born March 29, 1952, and raised by her loving parents, John and Mary (nee Wilson) Rowlands, in Elyria, Ohio.

Jacky, as she was affectionately known, was employed at Elyria Wesleyan Village for over 30 years as a nursing assistant.  She was a longtime member of Second Baptist Church of Elyria, and served as a member of the Senior Mission.  She was a kind and generous person with a warm and easy smile, who loved to cook for family and friends.

Jacky was preceded in death by her parents, her three sisters, and her beloved husband of over 30 years, Leason Nelson.

Jacky is survived by her sister, Jerri Paris of Elyria; 5 nieces; and 2 nephews, including Al Howse, who was her care-giver and confidante.

A Celebration of her Life will be held Monday, March 21st from 7:00 -8:30 PM at Second Baptist Church, 427 Chapman Lane, Elyria.

Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel assisted the family.
