Jason D. Harris, 46, Passed away unexpectedly on January 19, 2023. Born in Elyria, he was a resident of Elyria Ohio all his life and attended Elyria West High School. He enjoyed sitting in his chair, watching football, and was an avid Steelers fan. He enjoyed being outside, fishing and hanging out with his friends.
Jason is survived by his mother, Laura Harris; step-father, James C Barbee Sr.; maternal grandma, Roberta Smith; daughter, Meriah Harris (Marquail); step-children, (Brandon and Mckaylah Puls); granddaughters, Leilani and Alexiana Puls; brothers, Marcus Harris, Victor (Kim) Barbee, Keith (Penny) Barbee, David (Mandy) Jones and Stanford Jr (Nene) Jones; sisters, Kim (Dwight) Black, Chastity (Steve) Ferguson, and Kimberly Jones; aunts, Smitty (Tom) Turner, Ann Mitchell, and Lynn Bennet; uncles, Brian (Robin) Butcher, Geno (Brad) Smith, and Robert (Mary) Butcher; a host of cousins, nieces, and nephews, and a bonus daughter, Breonna Bright.
Jason was preceded in death by his father, Donald D. Harris; his paternal grandparents, Hazel and Thomas Harris; half brother, Todd Barbee; uncle, Jerry Butcher.
Services will be at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Road, Sheffield Township, Ohio 44035, on Wednesday, January 25, 2023. The family will receive friends from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, with services following at 7:00 pm, conducted by Reverend Calvin Curry. Repass Dinner will be at 2428 Elyria Ave, Lorain, Ohio after services have completed.
