Jeffery G. Abner

Jeffery Abner passed away peacefully on November 6, 2023, surrounded by loved ones. He was born September 17, 1967 in McKeesport, Pennsylvania to Gilbert and Dottie (nee Powell) Abner.

Jeffery graduated from Lincoln High School in Shinnston, West Virginia in 1985. A resident of South Amherst, he was a self-employed siding contractor. He dabbled in coin collecting, restoring his 79’ Chevy Camaro, and he enjoyed displaying his sports memorabilia. He was humble, had a good heart, and was loved by all he met.

Jeffery lives on in the memories of his loving wife, Terri Abner (nee Barker); his mother, Dottie Abner; his children, Jeffery Jr., Sheri, Josh, Burgundy, Brandon, and Dottie; his siblings, Mike Abner and Stephanie Abner; and his 14 grandchildren.

Jeffery was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Abner; stepfather, John Jones; and his late sister, Pam Abner.

The family will receive friends and relatives at Wyers Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Elyria,  on Monday, November 13, 2023, with visitation from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, followed by a short service officiated by Chaplin Chuck Behrens. A procession will follow to his final resting place at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to offset the funeral costs.
