John Edward Babb Sr.

John E. Babb Sr.,68, of Elyria passed away peacefully Wednesday, September 11, 2024 at O'Neill HealthCare- North Ridgeville, following a lengthy illness. John was born May 13, 1956 on Anne Arundel Army Base, Maryland.

John is survived by his wife, Carol (Parsons) Babb, children, Dawn (Brian) Adkins, John Babb Jr, Lisa (John) White, Thomas (Mary) Parker, Diana Hamrick, Michael (Natasha) Parker, a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and brothers, Rick and Fredrick Babb. He was preceded in death by his father, Fred Babb, mother, Rita (Crawford) Babb, sister, Peggy Babb, children, Cheryl (Parker) Ody, Dennis Parker Jr., and Robert Ody.

John graduated from Admiral King High School in 1974. John will be fondly remembered as a Godly, hardworking, and dependable man who was a loving and faithful husband, son, father, grandfather, and brother. Throughout his life, he enjoyed listening to music, playing pool, riding motorcycles, golfing, fishing, watching classic movies with his wife, and spending time with his family and friends. He made the best homemade pumpkin pies and had the biggest, unforgettable, jovial laugh. When you think of John, please also remember his unwavering devotion and love for our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A public Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, September 19, 2024 at 2 pm at Word of Life Church, 3008 Grove Ave. Lorain, 44055. The family wishes to extend sincere thanks to O'Neill Healthcare- North Ridgeville staff for the care, compassion, and dignity shown to John during his final weeks.
