Kevin Kattas, 65 of Strongsville, passed away on Monday, October 24, 2022. He was a US Army veteran who treasured the time he spent in, and loved the culture of the Philippines where he met his wife and a whole new family. Kevin loved mathematics and solving problems and sudoku puzzles. He liked old cars, especially his ’76 Cadillac. He was very proud of the fact that he was able to work for 30 years before retiring from his last job at the Tool and Die Co. in Strongsville. Kevin persevered regardless of the challenges he faced in life. He was friendly in every way and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
Kevin is survived by his loving wife, Genevieve Pavo Kattas; siblings, Ellen Safron (Steve, deceased), Pam Radke (Lawrence, Jr.), David Kattas, Paula Novak (Steve), and Sheila Morton (Phillip); along with several nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews; and his special “son” Tascio.
Kevin was preceded in death by his parents, Emil and Irene Kattas, and a sister, Jan Keating.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 29 at 10:00 am at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd. E., Sheffield Twp., with Pastor Mark Giaimo of Cornerstone Chapel in Medina officiating.
