Charles W. Knotts, 88, of Avon Lake, passed away Thursday, January 25, 2018 at Avon Oaks Nursing Home.
He was born October 14, 1929 in Orma, West Virginia to the late Earl and Lalah (nee-Keith) Knotts. He was a U.S Air Force Veteran. Charles was a carpenter, and worked at Star Builders in Amherst for many years. He retired from National Gypsum.
Charles is survived by a daughter, Janet Crum (Robert), step daughter, Melinda Henry (Jeff): step sons, Terry Barth and Jerry Barth: several grandchildren and great grandchildren, and brothers and sisters. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty (nee-Mangan) in 2014 and a son, David Knotts.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 11:00 am until the time of a Memorial Service at 1:00 pm at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd., Sheffield Township. Mark Telepak, Chaplain from Crossroads Hospice will officiate.
