Lawrence D Behringer Jr.

Lawrence D. Behringer, Jr. , “Cook”, 87 of Sheffield Village passed away on Saturday November 23, 2024. He was the Warehouse Foreman at Doan Electric Co. in Cleveland for 45 years. He and his wife, Iona, also owned their own business for 25 years – “Cooks Patio and Lawn Décor” which they later changed the name to “Cooks Gift Shop”. Cook was known for his hard work, his happy nature, and being a family man. He enjoyed old western movies, riding horse, shooting guns, family parties and good food! He will be greatly missed.

Lawrence is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Iona (nee Pack); children, Sandra Buffington (Ronald), Patricia Wedell (John), Linda DeChant, Steven Jones, Lawrence Douglas Behringer III (Traci), and Paula Abbott (Jeffrey); grandchildren, Vance, Tia, Kevin, Christopher, Ross, Reid, Mallory, Emma, Sara, Samantha, Taylor, Carli, Derek, and Riley; many great grandchildren and great great grandchildren; and siblings, Louise Ghrist, Bonnie Homzy (Rick), Steve Behringer (Debbie), John Behringer, and Alan Behringer.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Evelyn Behringer, and a siste,r Peggy Wright.

The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. on Wednesday, November 27 from 11:00 am until the funeral service at 1:00 pm. Burial to follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
