Louis “Lou” James Gehm, 30, of Elyria, OH passed away unexpectedly on Friday, November 5, 2021 from COVID.

If you have ever met Lou, he was a beautiful soul. He was someone that we would all inspire to be. He will be forever remembered as a role model to us all. He was a giving man that would self-sacrifice for any family, friends, and anyone he encountered. He will be severely missed by all. We were blessed to have him in our lives.

Louis enjoyed working on vehicles, riding his motorcycles, anything that had to do with the outdoors, and spending time with his family and friends. Louis was a beloved son, brother, grandson, boyfriend, cousin, nephew, and friend to many, but his most treasured role in life was being a father to his son, Daxton

Louis is survived by his Mother, Jeanne Gehm; Girlfriend, Kirstin Bell; Son, Daxton James Gehm; Brothers: Dylan Gehm and Tyler Mielcarek; Grandparent’s: John & Nancy Yovan, and Gloria Gehm; Aunts: Janine Kin, and Lorie Slater; Uncles: John Yovan and Brant Michalski; and Cousins, Chad Slater & Karoline Simonovich.

Louis was preceded in death by his Father, James Gehm; Grandfather, Lou Gehm; and Uncle, Tony Slater.

Visitation will be Saturday, November 13, 2021 from 2:00PM – 6:00PM at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Road, Elyria.
