Marlene L White, life-long Lorain resident, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2022 at the age of 88.
Marlene was a deeply devoted wife and mother who filled her home with much love toward her family and friends. She was a gifted homemaker known for her cooking and baking, which she enjoyed sharing with others. She will be remembered for her amazing flower garden and the hard work she devoted to making it flourish.
Marlene will be dearly missed by her loving sister, Jean (neé Thomas) Crittenden; brother, Larry (Sandy) Thomas of New York; her nieces and nephews, Valli (Michael) McShane, Layne Crittenden, Tamara Crittenden, and Nathan (Christina) Thomas; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler Jaycox, Logan Jaycox, Jayde (Charley Kidd) Jaycox; great-nephew, Erin McShane; other relatives, neighbors, and dear friends, including Clare (Paul) Murtagh of Ireland, Wanda Pippert, and Sheila Morton.
She is preceded in death by her loving parents, Emil and Irene (neé Antal) Thomas; her loving and beloved husband of 35 years, Robert J. White; her precious daughter, Marla Jean (neé White) Jaycox; son-in-law, Larry “Jay” Jaycox; and her brother-in-law, George Crittenden.
A Celebration of Life will be held in person and via streaming on Saturday, May 7, 2022, at 1:00 pm at GrowPoint Church, 780 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, OH, with Pastor Lesli Klingenmeier officiating. Private interment services will be arranged with Ridge Hill Memorial Park, 44805 North Ridge Road, Amherst, OH.
