Nancy Lou Stein

January 14, 1949 — February 18, 2025

Lorain

Nancy Lou Stein (nee Warner), 76, a longtime resident of Lorain, Ohio, peacefully passed on to her Heavenly home on Tuesday, February 18, 2025 at O’Neill Healthcare in North Ridgeville, following an extended illness. She was born January 14, 1949, in Lodi, Ohio, daughter of the late Craig and Orpha Warner (nee Bennett).

Nancy was the loving wife of Dale Stein for 36 years and very much treasured and celebrated their years together. She cherished her three children, Donal McLysaght (Amy), Adam Lysaght (Sharon), and Kimberly Orille (Scott). She also immensely loved her five grandchildren, Kati, Teagan, Katrina, Owen and Avery, and loved sharing their many accomplishments, as well as her three great grandchildren, Noah, Brantley and Holly. Nancy was a loving sister to her two siblings, Thomas Lee Warner and Sandy Guzman (nee Warner).

Nancy was the sweetest person, and a faithful Christian. She loved her Lord first and foremost. She was eternally optimistic, even to the end, fully knowing Heaven awaited her. She was always quick to offer a sweet smile and cute laugh and was always ready to provide encouragement and guidance to those seeking it. She was very creative and artistic, and loved to write her Christian poetry. Her passion was adopting shelter pets; and she and her husband Dale adopted many from the Friendship APL. Her last remaining pet from there is Jessie, and he loved to visit her in the nursing home with Dale.

She is survived by her husband Dale, sister Sandy, and her three children, Donal, Adam and Kimberly, grandchildren, great grandchildren and numerous cousins and nieces and nephews – all of whom she loved dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Craig and Orpha Warner, and her brother, Thomas Lee Warner.

A private Celebration of Life service will be held for family. A burial at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria, Ohio, will take place at a later date. The family requests no flowers, and in lieu of such that you kindly and lovingly consider a donation in memory of Nancy be made to her favorite organization, the Friendship Animal Protective League of Lorain County. You may donate online at friendshipapl.org or by mail to 8303 Murray Ridge Road, Elyria, Ohio 44035.

Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel is honored to be assisting the family.
