Paul Robert Wolford age 80, of Elyria, passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2023. He was born on October 4, 1942 in Macksburg, Ohio to Henry and Carrie Wolford (nee Schlarb).
Paul served in the United States Army and was a proud veteran. He retired from Ford Motor Company in their Security Division as a Lieutenant, a job he enjoyed going to everyday, and prior to joining Ford Motor Company, he was employed as a Lieutenant in the Security Division at NASA for many years. He enjoyed everything about historical classic cars and attended every car show and cruise in he could with his wife. He was an amazing man who liked to be outside and tend to his yard which was in pristine condition. Paul was very active in his children's sporting events throughout their lives.
Paul is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Susan (nee Reming); children, Grant (Shelley) Wolford, Guy (Jennifer) Wolford; grandchildren, Rebeca Wolford, Ryan Wolford, Emiliee Wolford and Robert Wolford; and great-grandchild; Salem.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Carrie Wolford; and three brothers and two sisters.
He was loved immensely by everyone who knew him, and he will be greatly missed.
The family will receive friends and family at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel at 2900 North Ridge Road in Elyria, Ohio 44035 on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm with a Service immediately following. On Wednesday, May 31, 2023, after a short Service at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel at 10 am, the burial will take place at St. Mary's Cemetery at 7284 Lake Avenue in Elyria, OH at 10:45 am.
In lieu of flowers the family asks donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Research.
Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel is assisting the family with all of the funeral arrangements.
