Phyllis C. Garcia

Phyllis C. Garcia (nee Costin) 78 of Lorain, passed away suddenly on Saturday, May 22, 2021 at her home. She was a lifelong resident of Lorain and was very active serving in the Church of the Open Door. Phyllis loved to travel, play slot machines, and especially enjoyed cooking. Her greatest love was spending time with her grandchildren.

Phyllis is survived by her son, Michael Garcia, Sr. (Sheila Doucette); grandchildren, Gianna Garcia, Michael Garcia, Jr., Aaron Simmons, Emily Simmons, Ben Simmons, Damian Simmons, and Adrian Simmons; several great grandchildren; and her brother Dale Costin (Barb).

PHyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Anthony; parents, Michael and Emily (nee Gidich) Costin; daughter, Kimberly Simmons; and sisters, Karen Smith, Barbara Kallas, and Marcia Costin.

The family will receive friends at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Rd., Sheffield Twp. on Wednesday from 11am until the funeral service which will begin at 1pm. Interment to follow at Ridge Hill Memorial Park.
