Roger D York

Roger D. York, 70 of Lorain was a devoted husband and father. He passed away unexpectedly on October 7, 2024 at his home. He had served for 7 years in the US Army with the 101st Airborne Division. Roger loved bass fishing, as well as watching the Cleveland Browns and Indians.

He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Claylene (nee Dole); children, Andrew Grear and Rebecca Friedman (Dan); grandchildren, Owen Grear, Wyatt Grear, Eva Friedman, and Noah Friedman; two brothers; three sisters; and his step-mother, Shirley York. He was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Frances York and one brother.

Abiding by Roger’s wishes, there will be no service scheduled.
