Sylvia Marie Mey, 81, of Lorain, Ohio passed away Friday, February 24, 2023 surrounded by love, with her family by her side. She was born May 19, 1941 to James and Ethel (Komlosky) Mudrich in Indiana County, Pennsylvania.

Sylvia is survived by her children, Richard (Jennifer) Runion Jr. of Lorain, Ohio and Tina (Gene) Prohaska of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; brother, Fred (Cheryl) Mudrich of Lorain, Ohio; grandchildren, Heather Hemann of Beleview, Nebraska, Yvonne Renee Jones, Nick (Ashley) Jones, Jonathan (Hannah) Jones, Michael Jones, Clayton Runion, Rebecca Jones, Richard Runion III, Wanda Recznik, and Keirsten Zeiter, all of Lorain, Ohio; 21 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Sylvia was preceded in death by her son, Timothy Mark Runion; parents, James and Ethel Mudrich; spouse, Richard C. Runion Sr.; spouse, Walter B. Mey; brothers, James and Louis Mudrich; and sisters, Judith Neese and Dolores Beetler.

Family and friends are invited to visit from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Wednesday, March 1, 2023 at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 N. Ridge Road (Rt. 254), Elyria, Ohio, with a short service following. After the conclusion of the service, a luncheon will be held at the Elyria Eagles, 1255 Lowell Street, Elyria, Ohio.
