Thelma Ann Workman

Annie (Thelma) Workman, born January 13th, 1946, and a former resident of Lorain, Ohio, went to be with our Lord; and with her sweetheart of 54 years, Russell L. Workman Sr. on October 14th, 2023.

Annie was known to many as “Maw” because that was just who she was. To know her was to love her. Her laugh was contagious, and her heart was bigger than the moon and the stars. She enjoyed her family and friends, baking, cooking, and going to many places with her son and daughter-in-law. Annie especially loved to go with them to comedy clubs, and on adventures where she had never been before. She will forever be in the hearts of anyone she knew and loved.

Annie leaves behind her son, Russell L. Workman Jr. (Angel) of Akron OH; granddaughter, Teresa Workman of Mansfield, OH; grandsons, Skyler Provence (Tonya) of Jamestown, OH, Robert Provence (Julia) of Canal Winchester, OH, Shane McEachern (Hailee) of Akron, OH; great-grandchildren Ayden, Hunter, Matthew, Lilly, Ava, and Maverick Provence, and Ellie McEachern; and many more family members on both the Workman and Chaffin sides.

Annie was preceded in death by her beloved husband Russell Workman Sr.; her son Craig Workman; her parents Freelin and Ida Chaffin; her great grandchildren Collin and Emma Provence; and many brothers and sisters.

The family will receive family and friends at Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Road, Elyria, OH 44035, On October 18 and 19th, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. On October the 20th, visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm, followed by a service at 7:00 pm given by Reverend Bisael. The family will have a private graveside service at a later date.
