Thomas L. “Pops” Trent Jr., 91, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at his home.
He was born June 22, 1926 in Bradshaw, West Virginia to the late Thomas L. Sr. and Rosa E. (nee-Stanley) Trent. Thomas was a World War II U.S. Army Veteran, where he fought in the Battle of the Bulge. He was an avid poker player and enjoyed dancing, horse shoes and spending time with his family.
Thomas is survived by daughters, June Collins (Kenneth), Brandy Woods (Dave), Sabrina Gregory (Jimmy), Misty Fortney (John), Brenda Thacker (Roger) and Kathy Jones (Rowan): son, Thomas L. (Kelli): many grandchildren and great grandchildren: brother, Harry Trent and a sister, Jackie Stallard. He was preceded in death by his wife, Deanna Trent: a brother, Dick Trent and sisters, Pat Simon, Clea Forbes, Ruby Trent, Vergie Trent, Ethel Echols and Geneva Mayott.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, January 16, 2018 from 5-7 pm at the Wyers-Bollinger Funeral Chapel, 2900 North Ridge Rd., Sheffield Township. Services will be Wednesday, January 17, 2018 at 11:00 am in the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Red Cross.
