Virginia R Goetz

Virginia Ruth Goetz, age 77, of Elyria, Ohio passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 7, 2023 at home surrounded by family. She was born on May 14,1945 in Oberlin, Ohio to Joseph and Irene Tkach, (née Zelenka). She loved spending time with her family.  She enjoyed cooking and baking, and loved her garden of plants and flowers, helping them grow with love. Virginia also liked arts and crafts, along with doing floral arrangements.  She and her loving husband, Shane, have been together for 40 years; 37 of those years as husband and wife.

 

Virginia was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Irene Tkach; brothers, Ronald Tkach and James Zelenka; and sister, Carol Buckley.

 

Virginia is survived by her loving husband, Shane Goetz; daughter, Georgia Longwell; son, Chuck Longwell; grandchildren, Jason (Maria) Longwell and Daniel Longwell; and great-grandchild, Jasmine Longwell. 

 

Virginia was so loved by all her knew her because of her beautiful spirit of kindness and thoughtfulness.  She will be greatly missed.  Her schnauzer, Molly, was always by her side and will miss getting all the loving only a fur mama can give.
